Terms of Service.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Jarvis AI Assistant apps and the website jarvis.institute (together, “Jarvis AI Assistant”). By installing or using Jarvis AI Assistant, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Jarvis AI Assistant.

Jarvis AI Assistant is a personal, local-first AI assistant that you install and run on your own Windows device. It can run tools, automate tasks, and — when you connect them — work with services such as your Google account. It routes your requests to the AI model providers you configure. Jarvis AI Assistant is a single-user product for your own use.

Jarvis AI Assistant is currently free to use for your personal use. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use it. You bring your own API keys and accounts, and you pay those providers directly for their usage — Jarvis adds no markup and takes no payment for model usage.

• You are responsible for securing your device, accounts, and API keys.
• Jarvis AI Assistant is an agent that can take real actions (run commands, send messages, modify files, manage email). You are responsible for the actions you direct it to take and for reviewing them, including at the approval prompts Jarvis AI Assistant shows for sensitive operations.
• You must comply with the terms of any third-party service you connect (model providers, Google, etc.).

You agree not to use Jarvis AI Assistant to break the law, infringe others’ rights, send spam or malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, or violate the terms of connected services. You are accountable for how you use the assistant.

Jarvis AI Assistant works with third-party services you choose to connect, including AI model providers and Google APIs. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and they may charge you directly. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their handling of your data.

Connecting a Google account is optional. If you choose to, Jarvis AI Assistant uses Google OAuth 2.0 to request access to the Gmail API and the Google Calendar API so it can act on your mail and calendar when you ask it to.

• Jarvis AI Assistant only accesses Google data after the user explicitly grants permission. Access begins only when you complete Google’s own consent screen.
• Users may disconnect Google access at any time. Disconnect in the app, or revoke the grant from your Google Account permissions.
• You remain bound by Google’s Terms of Service for your own Google account.
• Jarvis AI Assistant can send email and modify your calendar on your instruction. You are responsible for what you ask it to do — see section 5.

Jarvis AI Assistant’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. See our Privacy Policy for the exact permissions requested and why.

Jarvis AI Assistant, its name, and its branding are owned by their respective owners. Content you create with Jarvis AI Assistant is yours. These Terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks beyond ordinary use of the app.

Jarvis AI Assistant is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. AI systems can be wrong, incomplete, or unpredictable — do not rely on Jarvis AI Assistant as a substitute for professional advice (legal, financial, medical, or otherwise), and review important output before acting on it. We do not warrant that Jarvis AI Assistant will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or actions taken by the assistant at your direction, arising from your use of Jarvis AI Assistant. Jarvis AI Assistant is a free product provided on a best-effort basis.

You may stop using Jarvis AI Assistant at any time by uninstalling it. We may update, suspend, or discontinue any part of Jarvis AI Assistant at any time.

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date; continued use means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the place of the developer’s principal residence, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection laws where you live.
